“In our practice, we look at the walls, the ground, up in the sky. We look at literature, philosophy, politics, sports, old books, new books, magazines, punk zines, vernacular signage, design by non-designers, art, architecture, fashion. But most importantly, we look at the future. We stretch things, turn them upside down, look at them backwards or through a microscope. We close our eyes, dream, travel, fight, run, ride, scribble, and struggle towards the work we produce.”

You’re probably wondering why you are here. The most important part of what we do at TRiC is storytelling, and we wanted to create a space (or a Substack) where we could share those stories. Much of our work is experienced through imagery, but the stories behind these images are where it all begins—something we have been keen to share with you.
In 2020, we (Tristan Ceddia and Rick Milovanovic) started TRiC. We’d been working in parallel for some time, and it had become clear that we needed to establish our own studio. We had been lecturing at Monash University for a few years, sharing an office, and had collaborated on several festival brands that helped shape our combined portfolio. We had great relationships with our existing clients, and we knew we were better together. Our first step was to enlist Amy Henderson to work alongside us. She was representing various creatives—working most closely with a photographer and a ceramist at the time.
Five years later, TRiC has steadily grown into a tight-knit team of four—with Chloe Papas and Marissa Hor—and Amy’s business, The ARTL—NE, now boasts six staff and eight creatives on the roster. In line with our growth, we've expanded our scope beyond branding into campaigns, digital, and full-scale production in partnership with The ARTL—NE. Our work spans end-to-end motion and still campaigns for Mecca Cosmetica, strategic brand overhauls for nonprofits like The Man Cave, brand consultancy with Nike, and, most recently, designing and developing a new digital platform for Readings bookstore.
In the coming weeks, we will begin by sharing the story behind our rebrand for a cult Australian fashion label. Filled with personal anecdotes, it will offer a broader perspective on our approach and the thinking that goes into our work.
From time to time, we might also share other thoughts, ideas, or references to things we’re enjoying as a studio—like THIS summer ‘25 playlist we put together.
Anyway, we look forward to sharing more soon. Hope you have a great day.

P.S. You might also be wondering about the name. Wanderings is a term we use to describe our process. It’s the essential underlayer to the work we produce and a method we use to make connections—and tell stories. This might sound abstract (because it is), but once we get going, it will all fall into place. We promise.
P.P.S. We’ve just added a little Easter egg to the TRiC website—scroll down, find the hand with the wand, and enjoy! 🪄
